Faded Is The Rose Poem by R B Seals

Faded Is The Rose

Rating: 5.0

Guess it's safe to say
You won't be by today.
Once, eager glances at the door
But now, as many times before,
Hope offers little more.

Pictured walls offer meager cheer;
Constant reminders you're not here.
Brings to mind Resentment's sound
As still you lead her heart around,
Leaving life darkened and aground.

Such becomes her mental state;
Advice to seek before too late—
To rebound, to recover from decline,
To go forward, to realign;
To reacquaint and one day, shine.

Hello, Kingsley! Thank you so much for your kind comment and score. I recently amended one of the lines to permit a greater flow of words for the reader. Thank you, again and best wishes as we enter the new year. Take care!
