Duniyan Labarin Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Duniyan Labarin

i remember my simple times,
Young and stupid, didn't have anybody
Too strong to kick me up in the ass.
Fought my dad and left home at seventeen
I thought life would go on as the same
Things i would do to copy a beard man;
I never knew time had gone and left my side
In a wink of an eye.

Now the thoughts wont free me,
And let me enjoy my youth;
I was pretty rough been a teen
With a cutlass and two demons;
Riding my pedal cycle the whole town,
Would go as earlier as the morning sun
Catching fishes and digging crab holes
i never believed how time had flown.

It's been hard to stop looking at my past
I fell into wrong practices with friends;
And habits of playing lottery with my savings
I allowed them to define the man i was,
I would've, could've and should've got better
Now that my destination at my gaze;
I'm working on getting my head straight
Things changed but this story is still growing up with me.
