Drafted
Love was all they had
they lived for nothing but
each other they dreamt
they would be married
If only they knew he
would be drafted and
she would be left alone
pregnant with their child
she gets the visit and
knew already what
had happened and
she sank to the floor and
burst into tears
he was gone and
she was alone to
raise their child alone
