Doubt Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Doubt

No doubt about it.
Many got caught up in the gossip.
Purposely done to distract,
A planning of conflicts...
Behind their unconscious backs.
With a planting of misdeeds to attract,
The buying and selling of division.

Lies told to tell and deceit to feed.
Increased the selling of division.

People innocent were picked to defeat.
Made victims of a selling of division.

No matter what color everybody fought each other.
With a buying and selling of division.

Skilled crime doers,
Corrupted.
Like wolves disguised as sheep.
From one neighborhood to another,
People were treated with false beliefs.
Fed to their friends and families.
Destroying themselves and identities.
Over greed to please their selfish needs.

No doubt about an envy started.
With a jealousy to erupt.

No doubt about a hatred started.
But this wicked evilness heated up.

Deceiving demons began to rule.
Knowing they had made so fools.
And these days,
Many are paying for their ignorant ways.

Yet seeking,
Relief from debts.
And...
Seeking relief,
From regrets.
Regrets they manifested,
With a thoughtlessness invested.
To accuse somebody else for their mess.

No doubt about it,
Common sense hasn't been on their minds.
To be used.
And...
No doubt about it,
Common sense hasn't been on their minds.

Blinded by greed and corruption.
No doubt about it.
Destruction has become a seduction.
No doubt about it.
Blinded by greed and corruption.
And childish pettiness.
Infecting to infest.

Blinded by greed and corruption.
With bringing down truth found.
Blinded by greed and corruption.
And truth,
Long to be gone and muted.
No doubt about it.
Up from its roots,
Truth has been stripped to bits...
Crushed to pieces and booted.
By greed.
And corruption.

No doubt about it.
From the top.
No doubt about it.
To the bottom!
