Don't forget the rain
When you could run in it

Don't forget the wind
When the air was fresh

Don't forget the trees
When they were tall

Don't forget the grass
When it was everywhere

Don't forget the water
When it was pure

Don't forget the mud
When there was some

Don't forget the ways
When they weren't posted on metal signs

Don't forget how the earth once was
Before we lost her

Before we gave up

Before we decided she was worthless

Before we hurt what we had and lost it.
