Cunning Attacks On Freedom Of Speech

Rating: 5.0

it is true writers poets
journalists observe witness
feel then emotive write
an interesting point;
is the word 'wise'
dictators first imprison
or kill opposition
like scholars teachers poets;

political opposition that opposes
them several present governments
cunning suppress critical voices;

claiming this to be hate
speech or comment
that public might offend;

poverty attacks on freedom offends
injustice political fake news spinners offends
increasing mass public shootings offends

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The studies and dictatorisl measures for taking over have not changed! very well described and presented in this poem that in fantastic brevity tells us all we have to know and beware. Great and far reaching outlook. ' I informe and accuse ' poetry at its best.
