Creature Of Hope And Despair Poem by Anonymous Anonymous

Creature Of Hope And Despair

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I wonder... Is there someone special for me?
A maiden of pure unshakable faith most precious commodity.
Someone more precious than rubies and sapphires.
A lady unmoved by the flesh, denies all her desires.
Is such a woman possible to exist in a world of darkness?
Is such a specimen able to be seen or a fabled goddess?
I have such a beauty in mind but she is blind to my heart.
I'm apprehensive I'll say something to set us further apart.
Unlearned and untaught, I'd rather hold on to the thought.
A young doe gliding across the plains unshackled and free.
If I die alone without my betrothed, here to await a monody.
Maybe to life in happiness escaping most horrid tragedy.
Beautiful creature of hope and despair as you set behind the sea.
