Coin(Im) Age Poem by JOSHUA RYNGKSAI

Coin(Im) Age

Unto whom should our taxes be paid honestly?
To the Son of Man this was asked slyly,
'On this coin whose image do you see? '
Answered He, to the crowd and the Pharisees.
‘Ceaser's! ' shouted the crowd spontaneously,
'Give to Ceaser what belongs to Ceaser', replied He.
Well the other side to this simple story,
Is a profound question for you and me?
In you, whose image do you see?
Now, that's a question to deeply ponder,
Unto whom, should we, our lives render?
As much as is Ceaser's to Ceaser,
So greater still is God's to God surrender.
