Code Confusion Ends Today Poem by Kiran Pillai

Code Confusion Ends Today

Always wanted to learn
Programming and code magic
Life kicked me around it
Never letting me in the core.

Programming loomed large
Around in tongues I can't
Understand quite well
Now I grab it with horns.

I am pulled right into
Programming landview now.
Will not let this pass this time.
I know how to learn.

Learning by syntax and
Language never really helps.
Dive deep and get to core
No worries about initial hiccups.

All programming starts with
Lots of headaches and installs.
I like to get to the fun part
First and then worry about particulars.

After all programming is just fun
Pixels and bytes to play around
With. I am now getting to play.
Let us program once again.

Can I swoop around for
Few weeks in the programming
Neighbourhood? No master. Not host!
I just visit code magic and leave.

I know I can get through programs now.
I am getting this feel now.
I am cracking the code magic.
The confusion ends today.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am an engineer. But, for more than a decade been in support functions not getting directly into coding. I always felt left out when people discussed code and languages. Somehow, suddenly some light bulbs lit up about learning to program when I got the right tutorials. I now get it. I am glad I get programming after all. I feel that life can get better now, as I could get to write code too - just a matter of time. This time around, computer science is my friend - not foe
