Clasp Of Love Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Clasp Of Love

Rating: 5.0

The promise of trust has long withered
your deceit has overcome the yearning,
you spoiled all the summers of life
as the romance, the passion we shared
never abandoned my mind, neither yours;
the heart has its own sadness
not about you not being there for me,
but about the images, the memories
pouring over my head like a fountain.
O' to have those many years of your name
on my lips, on my mind, for decades….
reminiscing those moments
of laughter, promises and dreams
a crater on my heart I hold;
as when you changed your direction
you committed a crime
rashly you broke my heart;
it was not about losing you or your love
it was that you murdered our harmony
and it hurt like a million thorns;
but as you took away the serenity of my heart
you punished your own self more than me
for I did not let go the clasp of your love
as I know that in everyday of your life
you must have never failed to remember of me.
