Chuh Poem by John deVries

Chuh

Cheerful Channelle chucked chump churlishly -
Challenge? Chiasma chilled.
Childishly chide? Chicken.
Chemistry cherished? Cheapened.
Cheat? Checked!
Chaste? Chased? Chafed.

Chagrin.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a weird one, isn't it? The name has been changed to protect the innocent - just went to a 'female baby's names' site and got a two beat name starting with 'ch'... short story: I got dumped, hard. Was incredibly disappointed. Anyhow, the trick worked well enough. Not conventional poetry at all - there's no scansion or rhyme to speak of. Just the two versions of pronouncing 'ch' at the beginning of every word. Writing it lessened the disappointment at least somewhat.
