Christmas Cheer Poem by Alice Cordy

Christmas Cheer

Rating: 5.0

Time to shed some Christmas cheer
As Christmas is nearly here.

Christmas tree standing tall and ever so bright,
Shining from colourful baubles and twinkling lights.
Presents stacked galore,
Covering every inch of the floor.

It's magical watching every girl and boy
Play with their Christmas toy.
The smiles on their faces
bring so much joy and graces.

Table set for a feast
Enough to feed a hungry beast.
Stomach full from all this glorious food
Don't want to sound rude.

A scotch or a jack,
may help me to relax,
I hope I haven't had too much booze
Think it's time for a snooze.

Enjoying this wonder celebration
For it is a holiday vocation.
Celebrating with family and friend
As it is a new beginning to an end.

I'm sending you a Christmas cheer
I hope you don't mind dear.
So sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer
As it's time to enjoy with family and friend yet for another year.
