Chapter 3: The Heart Poem by Asma Khan

Chapter 3: The Heart

You only know a part of me and
I am a universe full of secrets
say nothing but the truth
to leave me speechless

Show me the scars within
your heart's graveyard
remembrance of good old days
marked it in a blank postcard

I am not the calm for your
storms that roared loudly
There are so many eyes
that dreamt of you profoundly

Anxiety will not get the
best of me even if
unbearable emptiness
pushes me off the cliff

You will not find any shores
by my side of the ocean
for my depths conquer
your heart in every notion

You were illiterate to read
my story of faith in you
where no climax nor beginning
will ever take you through

Tomorrow is another day
but an other day without you
this happens so many times, and
these so many times are just few
