'Basanta' - scribed in Roman script:
Basanta elo dyare, Ki je katha boli tare!
Niye esho Palasher rang,
Bhare dao more thali,
Surer abesh dao more gane,
Kolkiler kuhutane, Uthuk sanchari!
Mala to gethe nebo, Jui-Shefali-Chapay,
Subas ane jhapsa durer premer barata.
Kon ek ushay, kon ek bone,
Tulechhilem phul dujone -
Sei madhuri mishe gechhe
Ojana ek byathay.
Basanta eshechhe dyare
Ki je boli tare,
kon gabhir-gopan katha!
I am waiting for my turn to come, so that I can enjoy it. Subhas
I will write this in English script for you and others, if interested, to enjoy the beauty of Bengali language.
A lovely poem about nature and love. As spring arrives, the garden gets it colour, birds start chirping and the mind wanders into distant past where love blossomed in the heart. Love the style and the lyrics.
