Balance-Sheet / बैलेंस शीट (Bi-Lingual)
Whatever we have earned has got to be repaid
What is life? It is just tallying of a Balance-sheet
On one side are our assets on the other liabilities
Whether to be received or to be paid it's crossed
What we give is an asset what we owe is liability
But remember E&OE (Errors & Omissions Excepted)
A provision is necessary because to err is human.

जीवन क्या है? तुलन = पत्र का योग मिलाना है
एक तरफ लेना लिखा है एक तरफ देना लिखा है
पाना हो या देना हो दोनों ओर लिखा जाता है
जो दे दिया वो लेनदारी जो जमा हुआ वो देनदारी
कहीं चूक रह भी जाये तो भूल चूक है लेनी देनी.

That's why there is a provision of contingent liabilities in the balance sheet. A lovely poem.

A well balanced look at life's balance sheet, a serious matter, as we never want to be in debt-'liabilities'. Ideally we should have plenty of assets but that may not be easy to achieve. I do remember the crossed cheque too.
Thanks for sharing your views on the subject. Tallying of a balance sheet is a tedious job especially when the number of transactions is more or when they are of complex nature.
