At A Meeting Poem by Richard Antwi

At A Meeting

At a Meeting
I was at a meeting
To develop a community project
A meeting of two confluences
The one domineering
And the other submissive
There stood I, at crossroads
Intersection of success or failure
A story of the Elephant and the Labrador!
At end, bossy prevails
At the expense of positive ideas from the poor
The world we live in now
Opulent ideas ignored from lowly groups
While meagre ideas welcomed from wealthy societies.
Truth for sale?

Excellent poem. Wealth corrupts our perspective. It has become a prime measurement of success, every thought and idea coming from that class is considered superior.

Shame. Yah people equate money with wisdom but wisdom can come from the most unexpected
