Anguish Unveiled Poem by Stephanie Apila

Anguish Unveiled

Painful instants of shady mood
Days and nights of bloodshed and torture,
Prevailed day by day documented
Recorded to be reviewed as now and will be then
Rooted in nineteen eighty seven up till the twenties.

Village raiding is not worth leaving out
Of both humans and animals via the same method,
Folks lost lips, arms …
Survivors if any have a better explanation
Rape and defilement stood on the list
Women and young girls are a living testimony.

Trekking was the surviving option for survival
While the scrubs became the best source of refuge
