Alone On Valentine's Day Poem by Kathryn Tyler King

Alone On Valentine's Day

There may be people out there that won't get a Valentine's Card. If they read this, I'm sending this out to you. You are special. You are loved. God loves you. Are you hurt and crying? Are you alone? Well, know that you are not the only one that feels that no one sees you or hears you. That's not true.

Do you know that you were made in the image of God? That means you have a soul, a spirit and you have a body. When Valentine's Day was initiated, it was to speak to the soul of man and possibly the body but the spirit man didn't get hurt nor feel neglected. You see, knowing that God sent his Son Jesus to die for you and you
decided to give your heart to Him, He fills those empty places with a joy and peace that no human being can give you. You are not alone, ever. He is with you forever
and ever. Just believe on Him and ask Him to come into your life. He's waiting for you to open the door of your heart.

So what will you do for Valentines' Day? Here are some suggestions. Go to the store, buy yourself a flower or a plant. Look for a card that you might like to receive and
buy it and put it somewhere where you can see it. To really make you happy, give out some Valentine cards to your friends and neighbors. Take yourself to a restaurant and buy a beautiful dinner including dessert. If you can't afford it, buy a nice microwave meal and there are plenty of them out there, put a candle on the table and set it with a red napkin. Then scatter some bright red hearts all over your tablecloth.

There now it's time to light the candle. Remember the light of the world...Jesus. Pray a prayer for all the lonely, heartbroken people you know. Then eat and enjoy your meal. Hug your pets or call your children, your mom and dad or grandma and grandpa and tell them how much you love them.
