Alas Poem by For Matilde

Alas

You have the wings of a child
You have the lithesome limbs of a dancer
If only, I could feel the wind
hear your symphony
Alas, in this dead church
all is mute
My feathers now bare
mere quills in remorseful hands

Everything an implacable silence
