Death is no easy master!
He demands, little of nothing, yet
all of everything.
He solicits us in the darkness of the womb
clinging to the coattails of life.
Invading the darkest corners of our world,
the deepest recesses of our minds.
A dark foreboding sibling.
Together they adddarkness and light
Agony, ecstasy, longing, belonging
All the things we cherish or
Hate!
Yet Life is no easier master!
He demands, all of everything
little of nothing.
Walking side by side with death
teasing Us with the promise of
Love: wealth: health: eternal being,
All our desires,
Till he tires of us, casting us off like a dark cape
To his eager sibling
