Accidental Meeting Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Accidental Meeting

Rating: 5.0

I made a wish and here you are
Now that we have met, you come far
You arrived in my life in a cacophony of sound
As your car hit mine and turned me round
We both escaped without any harm
All I could hear was your vehicle alarm
No need for the police as we exchange our names
Guess it is up to the insurance companies to play games
Coffee sounds good while we wait for a tow
It was the bad weather so much snow
Vehicles away to garages they went
Let us have lunch, you can sit and vent
No real harm done so no need to cry or fret
After meeting you this way, I have no regret
Taxi for to get you home out of this weather
Here is my phone number call me, let us get together

Well... if you can charm a girl after trashing her car, you sure have talents elsewhere as well as in poetry! :) t x
