Abstract Poem by Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh

Abstract

Rating: 5.0

On a foggy day in winter
I wandered long
riding my bicycle
down the countryside.
Riding farther and farther
reaching a lonesome village road
the fog dispersed and
the sun appeared
in the western sky
giving me a pleasant apricity.
A sprawling paddy field there before me
brown with stubble
stretched upto the foot
of the blue hill yonder.
In the middle
of the paddy field
a beautiful tree grove seen
some mist resting at its foot.
Farther, bewitching
the clouds seen floating
at the brae top and above the blue hill.
A moment then
I longed to sit there
by the paddy field
under a tree branches wide spreading
with a maiden
I dreamed long ago
yet never seen
in flesh and blood.

Yet never seen; like an artist with his or her brush in the hand. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful poetic write. Solitude is a poet's best friend. Imagination works really well away from the world's hassles.
