A Mistake Or Something More? Poem by Dolan Doran

we went out, had some fun.
it went to far, yet not far enough
to give me release...
to let me finish.
You went back home and
now i'm here, miles away'
worring.
scared out of my mind.
I'm so scared of
what might have happened...
of what we caused.
And yes, i say we
because it takes two.
It takes two to create a life,
but it will be my choice
to end it.
I won't bring a child
into this world unprepared.
It's just the way I am.
i don't care if you don't like it.
But I'm scared...was it a mistake?
Or something more?
I can't do this alone,
yet I refuse to be weak.
I need you,
and yet I won't let you help me.
...What should I do?
Stuck between a rock
and a hard spot...
I'll wait 'till I know for sure,
then I'll fix this.
In the only way I can....
Alone.
By myself.
With only a few people
knowing the mess i've
made of everything.
