A Joyful Authority Poem by Kiran Pillai

A Joyful Authority

There seems an authority
That rises within me.
Something in the spirit.
Calls me to exercise authority.

There is an authority
That rises over body
That rises over mind
I feel a little control myself.

I know I control nothing
Everything works by divine plan
Yet, there is some trust
In the plan that arises in mind.

There seems an authority
That rises in my spirit.
Something may go right
Just welcoming the right way!

Something just turns right
Inside my spirit. I welcome!
I welcome the gentle shift
That whispers, "I got this! "

There is a light authority
That I may claim one day
I could finally trust life a little.
What joy in authority.
