A Dream Of Reality Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

A Dream Of Reality

I had a dream, short,
last night
wherein I saw
something of mine
my life-
full of craze
those sights
them I gaze-
were they of mine?

a junction
of love and hatred
from there a lane
leads to a sheltered place
a pavement there
a heap of mud near
a plant over there
my desire
I had planted
with you together

Underneath,
it was dry
there I saw your mind
unwilling to water
soil unsaturated
thirst not satiated
expectations
high of mine
seen crumbled
out fallen lying

The plant- my desire
shedding dry leaves
teardrops
water-less
my short dream thus...
