A Death Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

A Death

Rating: 4.6

Truth is like fire, untruth like dry leaves,
which can suppress the flame but never the fume,
which will signify- there is a fire somewhere.

In a world famous discovery a female scientist contributed a lot.
Alas! She died of cancer, deprived of posthumous fame.
Two male scientists took her work, concluded it, set forward a theory without acknowledging her.
Even today one of them utters: ‘Women aren't fit for science'.

Fume was observed; flame was discovered: dry leaves withered away-
there is an university after her name.

Truth is like fire, untruth like dry leaves, ...wonderful ....... Even today one of them utters: ‘Women aren't fit for science'......still the masculine society is ungrateful to feminine abilities....

Ode to lady scientist. A seed dies Only then rises the sapling. Often the birth vof new begins at death wound. Good work. Admiration.
