A Dead School Poem by J. G. Burton

A Dead School

Rating: 5.0

Castle on a steep embankment,
not so much a hill—
not so much a castle either,
but a castle still—

faithful monument to learning,
armor-clad in stone,
beige you stand, defiant ruin—
whole, but all alone.
