A Caged Bird Poem by Sayeed Abubakar

A Caged Bird

Rating: 2.9

I am like a caged bird
Does not ever get tired
To find the way to fly
In the lovely blue sky.

I will fly, float and run
In the deep blue ocean.
I will sing when I roam;
Then I will come back home.

Best to be a dreamer in that situation. I remember seeing a wild bird caged and battering its body against the bars until its spirit was broken. That was a sad event for me. I suppose once tamed it may have become a dreamer too.

Simple but meaningful, short in size though bears a long imagination and at last backs to patriotism. Very good, Mr. Abubakar, the poet A++

Man has desires more deep than the oceans & sea, unsatisfied until at the hour of end...this poem shows the very same idea...great, keep writing
