299. My Dearest Mother Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

299. My Dearest Mother

Rating: 5.0

My Goddess is my beloved mother
Whom I worship every hour
With devotion and love,
With the sacred flowers of my heart.

She is such a great lady
Whose heart is always filled
With love and tenderness,
With honesty and kindness.

She has never ever compromised
With unjustness and falsehood.
Jealousy, prejudice and ill will
Have never touched her noble heart.

She is always an ambitious lady
Who fills her dream with devotion.
The more I listen to her words
The more I learn to respect women.

Poverty could never trample her
As she is very laborious.
She looks so firm outwardly
Yet so soft inwardly.

She has taught me again and again
How to conquer the adversity
With will power and dedication.
She is the fountain of my inspiration.

She teaches me every time
How to love mankind
And not to spend hours idly
As moving is life and stopping is death.

I will be ever indebted to her
As I have reached here today
Because of my mother,
Because of her teaching and blessing.

I really feel so fortunate;
I truly take pride in her
As such a lady is my mother
Who lives with me and guide me every hour.

I don't know whether God exists or not;
I don't know whether there is Heaven or not
But certainly my mother is my Goddess
For whom this earth seems to be Paradise.
