001-So...You Told Me. Poem by Jasper Pane

001-So...You Told Me.

You stole my innocence and beat my heart
Left me feeling worthless; Torn right apart
I gave you everything & this is what I get
A shattered soul & memories I want to forget

You were the first person I trusted to let in
How did I know I'd lose everything & you'd win
You left me in the middle of the street, on my own
& When the street light hit my face, tears were shown

Boy, tell me, how you could ever do this to me
Are you that cruel & heartless? How could I never see?
I guess when it came to your love, I was running blind
Hoping that a happy ending is what I'd come to find

Are you happy now? Is this what you wanted to do?
I hate myself for being stupid enough to fall for you
I should have realized the truth & pushed you away
But I was running blind & now, the price I have to pay

Every heart that loves Will ever sing sweet song, For his failed first love His heart will play ding dong. CP

Ohh dear friend.. This is very moving, I was touched, you kept the poignant aspect through out.. Very touching and heart felt poem indeed.. sweet Allie said it all I guess.. Did tears came when you wrote this one? ... some times we poets when we write from heart tears do come... Poems are so beautiful when written from heart.. you did a good job here with lots of love shan

Poor Jasper. You describe here (with passion and energy) the agony of first love. You're not alone and please don't hate yourself. Just because you've been betrayed once, doesn't mean that all women are the same. Perhaps you've learned to hasten more slowly next time. In the meantime remember how Tennyson put it in his poem In Memoriam: 27,1850: I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. A passionate heart-felt poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
