Patrice Delevoe Poems

Once there was a child with no feet
Innocence child, dark skin, deep scars
Lost in privation with no food to eat
Forced deep down in darkness to grow
...

Compare me to a lonely night,
casted out! lifeless sight
bored, dull, no motion
bright darkness, full of poison

The best fairy tales was always the detraction
Cinderella, Princess and the Frog, even Aladdin
all great fairy tales but left out one thing
They where dreams and not reality of real beings
...

Is it

hungry kids, sleepless nights
bombed cities, hate fight
...

we are told to love, taught to fight
hated, abused, and stereotyped
taught peace, shown war
money, resources, taken and adored
...

The little boy born
the little boy heart torn
the little boy followed rules
the little boy confused
...

As the walls closes in, isolation begin
Yowls echo through the room from the door hinge
Hostage captured, the lights run away
Betrayal, dishonestly, overwhelming hate
...

They say promises are meant to be broken
But a broken heart is never chosen.
The flow of love transition into hate,
Did these promises have to end this way?
...

Actions speak louder than words. Be active.

Be a person of understanding. Everyone is on a journey in life
...

Stupidity

over-flowing our nation, hate over race and
we’re all adjacent

Tension

The Best Poem Of Patrice Delevoe

Everlasting Depths Of Darkness

Once there was a child with no feet
Innocence child, dark skin, deep scars
Lost in privation with no food to eat
Forced deep down in darkness to grow
No sun, no shine, just rain, pain, and shame
No name, no fame but darkness, lame!
Dark, dark, night, night nobody wants to hold it tight
Wishing, hoping, praying, fighting for better
Falling deep, deeper, and deeper in darkness
Red flames cast up as a light
Horns facing, devil holding his scythe.
Run, run, fall, fall, pray, pray, GET AWAY
Cries unheard, secret buried deep
Tears flow, Savannah creek.
Hurting pain, scared beneath.
Deeper and deeper. Everlasting Deep
