Life is a test. Life is a trust.
Life is a temporary assignment.
And all men are but stewards.

I once asked someone if he'd attend
a program I knew he had been longing
to participate in ever since I knew him.
"I wish the answer was as easy as Yes or No."
...

The Lord is my Ebeneezer,
this far He has led and
helped me in every need,
This strengthens my confidence, I trust
...

Here, among these ruins once stood
the throne of dignity, honor, and respect;
full of glory, and flowing with abundance.
The hope of men. A force to reckon with-

Death! Death with its strong claws
makes no sound as it comes.
But with a precision of a sniper;
mindless of height and tide,
...

I once held the ultimate in my hands and vowed to protect it.
But for a moment, my arms grew cold and I neglected it.
So it gathered cold and died right in my hand asking why
I promised the ultimate and delivered the opposite.

Origin, Identity, morality, and Purpose
are key. Once lost or sold, a person has
very little to offer and nothing left to lose

Hearts faint when the storm rages,
Hopes sublimes when the veil of sense
hangs dark between God and men.

There comes a time when the conviction
held in a family demands the strength
and zeal of a younger mind.

With love and friendship,
We have weaved our web of time
And made together our best encounter.
But when our parting time comes, I pray

Despite age, position, and experience,
No one has a monopoly on wisdom
Or the solution to all human problems.
To act omniscient and all-capable is either

We all have crosses we can't but must bear.
But God does not make mistakes,
He does not put burdens on shoulders
too weak to bear them nor give crosses

After many days of battle,
Someday along life's journey,
we'll pause for a while
and take a rest underground.

An apple does not survive a blow
One small bruise and it's dead. So is life.
Precious but delicate, that's what we are.

The heart faints when the storms of life rage,
Joy sublimes like snow when the window
of sense is closed between God and men.
But misery has a silver lining after the pain

The best among men do not drop from heaven.
Nor do they rise from a particular place or race.
Some are born and bred in palaces surrounded by privileges
while others; born in remote villages, schooled in hardships

This world was passed down to us
and will continue on, with or without us.
By ourselves, we cannot carry its weight
on our shoulders and move an inch.

Don't be so sure of yourself
Unless you have been put to the test
and proved otherwise.

Long live the memories we made
Hail to the friendships we forged,
and a toast to those who stayed
even after they were wronged.

Someday along life's journey,
We'll pause for a while and
take a rest beneath the ground.

Stewardship

Life is a test. Life is a trust.
Life is a temporary assignment.
And all men are but stewards.

All that we have is ours only in trust.
Given us not to keep
but to use to the glory of God
and for the gain of others

Our greatest resource does not lie
beneath the ground nor up in the sky,
but right within each of us;
There are time, treasure, talents,
and temple; our brains and bodies.
That's all it takes to make a difference.

What a person becomes depends on
the thoroughness with which he utilizes
his time, treasures, and talents.
Overcoming is the only way of earning
God's trust for greater responsibilities.

Regardless of our path and length of days
We all have room to play our part
and to rise or fall as we choose.
