I am rich

Cups and saucers
With a TV at my feet

There are more faces,
Then places.
Strangers pass everyday,
Impacts cannot be kept at bay.

I Am Rich

I am rich
My walls are lined with cupboards,
Cups and saucers
With a TV at my feet
And a bed near the door
Believe me-
I am rich.

The lamp beside me glows
As my eyes strains to perfect the shade
With a window as big as I want
And the door as wide as I like
Trust me-
I am rich.

My hands darken
As my charcoal crumbles
But with joy to live this day,
Faith to live another
And hope to dream in the present
I know-
I am rich.
