Mandy MMR Poems

A friend, a friend
I have never known
A friend, a friend
That has shown
...

Death is a horrible fate,
But in death everyone can relate.
...

I have love iside my heart
Even when I am pushing a grocery cart
I am going down the aisles
With a couple of piles
...

Ghosts of the past
Haunt my every moment
Leaving this cast
I scream in my torment
...

Saved from the pits of hell
Saved from its firy dwell
All is right and well
Of His grace I'll tell
...

You know, I know
That we were not meant to be
But the heartache is still clutching onto me
...

When you're crushed by a crush, your heart turns to mush. When you
thought you were going to gain, instead you got pain. He was so sweet
...

You are my King
My absolute everything
You know what to do and what to say
You have healed me in every way
...

I loved you
And you hurt me
I loved you
And you attacked my heart
...

Mimi, we love you
We cherish every moment we had with you
You would brighten our day, in every single way
Mimi, we love you
...

Your eyes are getting heavy
And you don't feel good
You get into your Chevy
But you don't if you should
...

The sword comes down
Your friend on the ground
You scream your rage
His blood forms a pool
...

My folly hath led me here
To this distant shore
I cannot hold back the tears
Not anymore
...

Walking that day, outside and alone
Hoping to catch that scent of cologne

Praying to hear that small, sweet voice
...

I say that you will find your way
I pray that you will be okay
No one could love you more than I
So won the battle by and by
...

16.

Life is an awakening
Life is something new
Life is something you've never dreamed
Come true
...

She falls down
And he helps her up
She cries out and he listens
She commits the worst of sins
...

Take me away, O Lord
Take me away
From the pain of this earth
From the lies of all men
...

Humbly I come before you
I beg you to take me back
I pray to be your weapon
With nothing in me to lack
...

I'm sorry for the heartbreak
I'm sorry for the pain
I'm sorry for everything
That you did in vain
...

Mandy MMR Biography

I started writing poetry in the fourth grade. I had written a poem to my mother who then sent it to Poetic Power. They approved my poem and it was published. A year later my Mimi (grandmother) died. I was asked to write a poem for her funeral and I did. After she died, I didn't write very much. I started writing again about two years ago. I had read a few books by Bryan Davis and decided I would read his biography. In it he had written a thanksgiving poem and I decided to try and create another poem. I e-mailed him asking for help on a poem and he graciously gave it. I sent Outside and Alone to poetry.com and a few weeks later, I received a letter saying I was a semi-finalist. You must understand that when I had entered, the form had asked how old I was. It had a list of years to choose from, starting with 1984. Well, I really wanted to try and so I said I was 18 since they did not have my age group. I have won the Editor's Choice Award numerous times now in an adult contest. Now I have proudly written 45 poems(may change) . That is an accomplishment that I am proud of. God Bless, Mandy MMR I Flock)

The Best Poem Of Mandy MMR

A Friend

A friend, a friend
I have never known
A friend, a friend
That has shown
A doorway to light
A passage of hope
A piece of forever
And with this I cope
A friend, a friend
I will always hold dear
A friend, a friend
Who holds back my fear
Of all the rage
Of all the hurt
Of all the words
That are so curt
A friend, a friend
A friend indeed
He is my friend
And he will help me in need
