Sometimes they're filled with sorrow,
Other times they're full of laughs.

This is the time for peace and love,
As the angels watch from up above.

Into the adult that you are today.
You used to be so reckless and wild,
And you have come such a long way.

She's keeping the home fires burning,
While a dangerous living he is earning.
She has had so many sleepless nights,
While he's away fighting for our rights.

He can now proudly hold his head up high,
After doing things that would make most men cry.
Even after all the suffering and pain,
He knew it was worth it after what he gained.

Nobody is sure how this mess started,
But the human race is nearly departed.
Was it the intense heat or the radiation,
That was the cause of this annihilation?

It waves over the nation so proud and true,
The majestic colors of red, white, and blue.
It's been through war, it's been through hell,
And still the colors have not fell.

When you have the chance, lend a hand.
Don't be afraid to try to take a stand.
Pay it forward, expect nothing back.
Compassion is something we all lack.

In the midst of battle
The war rages on.
The bullets were flying
As the peace was withdrawn.
