Ipsita Mohapatra Poems

Love I must say is funny.
The man is flourished,
The man is doomed.
It gives pain without touching,
...

I awaited you this long,
When I knew won't you come.
To take the rightful place
In my heart,
...

It was a miracle I was waiting for,
But instead I found you.
Sitting by the lake,
Feeding the ducks,
...

"Then I saw a light shimmering afar
Thought I could reach it before the time runs out
But who would have thought the road to the light was so full of thorns
My legs shook
...

I'm afraid we might be falling in love.

Somewhere between friendship and relationship,
We have created our world.
...

My tear glands are arid,
I don't cry anymore.
Does that make me strong?
Or does that make me weak?
...

You have been somewhere else,
Some other world.
In a utopia, and
I can feel your bliss.
...

Love - A Foolish Feeling

Love I must say is funny.
The man is flourished,
The man is doomed.
It gives pain without touching,
It stops the heart without corporeally damaging.
It twists you,
It shatters you,
Sometimes in a good way,
Sometimes the worst way possible.
The love we give,
The love we get,
All turns to sorrow.
Grief consumes like a thunder cloud in a storm.
Love is rose,
hold it carefully,
else you are pricked.
