it has much charisma
temptation is on your last nerve
but once you've drank you start to swerve
'just live in the moment' they'd say
and once it passes they leave you astray
yet you still obey
yet you're still enticed---
by them that make you sway
by them that lead you away
open your eyes--
look for surprise
look for them who kept you close
for they too might leave by your side
to them, make sure you obey and abide
for then they'll realize you've understood
for then you'll realize you've understood
for then life will flow like water
for then happiness will spread, along with laughter
for then gratitude will come into play
