Feriel Gargouri Poems

A bird on a secret journey across a forbidden land,
Frail as a clouded sky awaiting the burst of thunder,
You're on a fine line, the gates of heaven won't close,

Caged Freedom

A bird on a secret journey across a forbidden land,
Frail as a clouded sky awaiting the burst of thunder,
You're on a fine line, the gates of heaven won't close,
Now, you're lying in my arms and forever seems whole;

I'm a never ending well with no ladder to crawl back,
You're a faded light amidst golden crows track,
You deciphered lies in the recognition of your truth,
And my brightest smile can't comfort your broken youth;

But in my world you are as beautiful as a shining star,
And under my light, yours is a glittering constellation,
A never found buried heart can't beat as loud as mine,
You will find a shelter in my loveliest carved scars;

Your arrow is set, aiming at our haunted nights,
So delicately, it hugs the wounded moon,
And blood has never been so white before,
In the midst of war, our truest intentions bloom.
