Dust sleeping on your bookshelf
and all your plants are drying out
you are too busy to save yourself
is your mind heading for burnout?
...

The docile doves have
been mocked enough,
by the darting drones
that are built to snuff;
...

And even though
we have taken refuge
in these concrete jungles
our abode lies in the wild
...

Lay me down like a paper boat
I'll sleep tonight on this riverbed
let go of me, your hands are beat
hold on to my memory instead.

I don't need a pole star to find my way home
I've found the true north
in the moving direction of her shoes.

6.

You are neither accidental
nor a figment of imagination
but rather a tangible star
in this 89th constellation.
...

Brother, do you remember,
that game we used to play,
where I would hide myself, and
you would find me in no time?
...

Take me away to a
Deep-wood cabin;
Hide me from these
Carbon skies.
...

Keep an eye out for her,
she tends to disappear
intermittently, leaving no
note for one to know,
...

I wander like a cloud on repeat
slow-dancing to the wind's beat
while the roads recite odes
about the feat of my feet.
...

11.

today I'll be okay
all looks golden
all looks gay
today I'll speak

Message In A Bottle

Dust sleeping on your bookshelf
and all your plants are drying out
you are too busy to save yourself
is your mind heading for burnout?

Coffee rings on your bedside table
anxiety pills under your pillowcase
working round the clock to foot the bill
is there no time for breakfast these days?

Friends haven't seen you in a while
your phone is always out of reach
you're slowly forgetting how to smile
is your silence a figure of speech?

Life can sometimes seem to be unfair
but hoping is better than you think
send the message in a bottle if you dare
is it so hard to not force yourself to sink?
