Zebedee Cried Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Zebedee Cried

Rating: 5.0

John and James
sons of Zebedee
left him leaving
the boat and the nets.

They left Zebedee,
all their friends
their families
and their father
listening to the
call of Jesus.

Zebedee cried loud.
Am i not your father?
Did I not give you
all that you needed.
Did I not love you.
As you were children
how much I loved you
and cared for you.

My hard work
was out of love for you.
Every day I cared for you
and today you left me.

I am an old man.
I am not strong enough
to work and to go for
fishing as I did before.

Who will ment the nets?
Who will pay for the workers?
Your beloved mother
cries loud and loud
I cry loud to the heavens.
Why did you do this
to me, an old father.

James and John
simply followed the
foodsteps on the sand
of Jesus Christ the master
who called them away
from their families.

They simply followed Him.

It was mystery.
Christ is a mystery.
All that He did was
always mysterious.
