Yesterdays Dreamer Poem by Kevin Patrick

Yesterdays Dreamer

Rating: 4.3

If you want to be loved
Then learn to feel hurt
And if you ever swallowed trust
You'll pay for just desserts

It takes a loner to really know
The difference seen from friend and foe
Is all the same in a mirror's eyes
when everybody is born in Lies

Ever gone to a party
And you still feel alone?
Faced a crowd with a smile
When your dead as a stone?

wished you knew what it really means
To wear a mask that wears you down
and everyday grows harder to climb
when all you want is to happily drown

Have you ever truly cried
Waiting a helping hand
And realized in this life
That there's no one who understands?

I'm just one of yesterdays dreamers
And now I am awake
To know that we are all alone
And die… on a bed of heartache

Kevin, you're a man after my heart. I do feel the same way and you put it beautifully in this poem

An unpleasant feeling, I would imagine.

Yes, I know what that feels like because I feel it every single painful day
