Filtered by cloth drink water,
Tempered by truth words ye vouch,
Do upon a discreet pinch's ouch.

draśhti-pūtam nyaset pādam vastra-pūtam jalam pibet |
satya-pūtām vadet vāņām manah-pūtam sam-ācharet||

draśhţi-pūtam: purified, cleared by sight
nyaset:place, set, confer, bestow
pādam:(your)step/foot
vastra-pūtam: filtered, strained clean with a cloth
jalam: water
pibet: (should one)drink
satya-pūtām:(after it is)cleansed, cleared, endorsed by truth
vadet:do thou utter, speak
vāņām :(your)speech/words
manah-pūtam:(after it is)cleansed by the mind
sam-ācharet:take (your)action; behave well
