Winter Escapade Poem by Sagi Writes

Winter Escapade

How can I resist
the tranquility of the river reflecting the solitude of my existence
as I travel through the winter forest,
the symphonies and croons of chickadees and sparrows in the ice-covered trees, and the porcelain snow moments beneath the silhouettes of dusk?

In this land veiled in winter's white drape,
many distinct shades dissemble the amber of yesteryear's respite.
Brittle grass and foliage exhale, solacing the iced air, and ephemeral cocktail hours hang like icicles on the brink.

Brisk winds ebb and flow whilst snowflakes caress my skin as I keep strolling on the riverside staring at the ebony water, meditating on my ripples of thoughts.
How enticing will this experience be if I can keep this wintertime grandeur in my memory before going back to the city?

Zephyr blows and whispers, 'Be still.'
