Winged Thing Poem by Adrian Flett

Winged Thing

Rating: 5.0

This universal winged being explodes, in this remote place
upon docile eland, bonds with it; wraps with it
in dramatic electrifying fashion as lines of energy trace
the descent and ultimate fusion with the eland.

We are privy at the precise arrival of the winged
therianthrope as it bursts, bonds with earthbound eland.
This instant force of energy sears as bonding occurs
before our eyes; the union of eland and this electrifying thing.

Was this a record of an actual event?
Or the creative vision of a mind intent
on giving graphic portrayal as images emerge.
From where, do these ideas emanate?

Pan extra-terrestrial being of other world's scope
found in far-flung places, though seen through those same eyes
that enter the world of visions of therianthropes
filled with universal beings for those who have eyes to see.

The eland symbolic now of natural elements terrestrial
in submission to entities of the other world celestial.
At very white hot point of impact animal now in thrall
to the therianthrope's summon; its bid and call.
