Who's To Blame Poem by Katherine Perry

Who's To Blame

Rating: 5.0

Who's to blame for the flaws amongst us
Where there is no cure to eliminate it out of our life
Who do we go to and who do we trust
To help us survive day to day as we struggle and fight

Analyzed, studied, and tested
While waiting for a miricle to save the day
But seldom do we feel rested
Trying to find something to show us a better way

Wakeing up each morning
Realizing nothing has changed
Having to look past all the warnings
Left with thoughts that have been rearranged

Still the same things that are emptied of hope
Somehow getting through the year's seasons
With just enough will to help us cope
Brings a little bit of meaning to our reasons

A doctor determines our well-being
Medications will help us get tuned
But living in this world we are still seeing
That same picture telling us we are doomed

Outside of our comfort zone
In reality, we don't even have that
For there is no comfort zone in being alone
When trying hard to finish one task

To family, friends and strangers
We seem only to be half-known
For no one truley understands the dangers
Of a disease that takes more than a pill alone

So from shriveled dreams and aching days
We find no water for the fire's blaze
But what people don't know and aren't willing to find
That there is no permanent relief in a diseased mind!
