Which Came First?



Oh, little hen, you search around,
Finding material for your nest,
For when it comes to posing questions,
You are the very best.

Oh. Little hen, you scratch around,
Finding little left-over grains,
And though your thinking is but simple,
You've perplexed Man's greatest brains.

Oh, little hen, you cluck around,
Your speech has such a rhythmic sound,
And we listen hard to all you say because,
It really can be profound.

Oh, little hen, you strut around,
For your pride it does abound,
For you know the sequence of your origins,
They really do confound …
