I can't say enough words or give enough alone...
To change your mind or your tone... For you to give in and tell me where to start...
So I can help you know your own head and heart...
Well enough to tell the truth before it is too late...
Why we must be in anguish, why must you make us wait?
For answers to questions we seek to find...
To heal our own hearts and our rattled minds...
And though some of the punishments were probably earned...
Why was it us that felt the flame but only you got burned?
