Where Do You Find Your Heroines? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Where Do You Find Your Heroines?

When he asked,
Said I,
I search my heroines
In the train compartment,
At the airport,
The bus-stop
And sometimes
At the town square

Donning the goggles
Looking like a fashion designer,
A beautician,
An anchoress,
A model,
A media fellow

With the smartphone
Plugged with the wires
Hearing music
She emerges and vanishes
Out of sight
Like a dream girl
Coming and going,
A cinematic personality.
