WHEN A DAY DAWNS......

When a day dawns
I crawl out
Of my bed,
Opening my eyes,
Lo/ behold
All around me,
Joy everywhere
Greeting me
Like a bosom pal
Beauty beckoning me
Like a passionate sweet-heart;
On the eastern horizon,
Leaping up the Sun,
Smiling all his way
In his radiant glory;
Blossoms smiling
In blooming beauty,
Splashing splendid hues;
Birds on tree-branches
Celebrating melodies
In incessant chirps;
Morning breezes
Singing lyrics
In rustling leaves;
Calves in fields
Hoofing jubilant play
In gambolling;
Misty mountains
Hoisting morning glories;
Unending blue track
Arching overhead
Unveiling celestial wonders,
Wonder-struck,
Spell-bound,
I stand gazing
Shining in smiles,
Savouring beauties
Around me.
