Welcoming Society Into A Quiet Life Poem by Kiran Pillai

Welcoming Society Into A Quiet Life

Some transformations seem apparent today
I am interested in society for a change
Not a runner, not a hider. I come bright!
Bring on the real world. Hit me hard!

Society is manageable. Not too cryptic
Just the right knowledge and attitude helps
Keep away from negative influences
And not letting darkness cover my light.

Maybe business is not that bad an idea
Humanity in my lifetime requires a bit of that
Bring on some magic to support the reality
Magic will win and silence may smile.

Society is not that hard to make me cringe
I can climb my way up from those ditches
There are still dark patches around my sphere.
But, a little light can burn the darkness away.

So, society... Let's talk across the table.
What do you have to give me? I will give too!
Let's play a fair game. Kick me if needed.
Let's play a fair game. I got kicks too, if needed.
